We have an opportunity in the Hume region for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our dynamic team. Kirinari is a highly reputable and respected disability support service providing essential care and high-quality support to enrich the lives of our customers. Kirinari employ over 1400 staff in various regions across VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD and TAS. About the Position Providing high quality support to our customers this position offers the opportunity to work with individuals living with disabilities, providing tailored support that promotes independence, resilience, and an improved quality of life. We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers. This position is located in one of our SDA (Specialised Disability Accommodation) You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs including, domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
This position is part-time permanent working a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight and will commence as soon as practicable. About You - Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights,
weekends and public/school holidays (including Christmas, Boxing and New Years days) with significant availability - Ability to undertake tasks detailed in customers Behavior Support Plan
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
- Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
- Smart Phone
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
