Kirinari Community Services have a fantastic opportunity to secure employment with a well-recognised, rapidly expanding and essential support service! We have a Team Leader – Youth Worker position available within our Complex Care Team. This team works across Out of Home Care (OOHC) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and supports people who experience challenging behaviours with a focus on trauma informed care and trauma recovery. Additionally, we support customers with high medical needs. Kirinari is a highly reputable and respected disability support service providing essential care and high-quality support to enrich the lives of our customers. Kirinari employ over 1300 staff in various regions across VIC, NSW and TAS. About the Position The Team Leader – Youth Worker role provides services and supports to both OOHC / Voluntary OOHC and NDIS participants allowing a dual role across Youth and Disability Support. This position works within Kirinari’s strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care to provide safety to our clients while identifying and supporting growth needs. You will lead a team of Youth Workers to provide young people with consistency, support and safety through their developed individual care plans. This position is Part-time Permanent with around 50hours per fortnight with 1 day per week assigned to administration duties. This position is to commence as soon as practicable. About You - Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) is highly regarded
- Strong interest in youth work, mental health and the disability industry
- Understanding of strength based trauma informed practice framework
- Understanding of the NSW OCG Child Safe Standards and Therapeutic Model of Care
- Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma is highly regarded
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
- Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
- Complete a National Criminal History Check (paid by Kirinari)
- Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
- Smart Phone
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
