This Isn't Your Typical Support Worker Role


As a Disability Support Worker providing Community Participation and Domestic Support, you'll help customers:

  • Participate in shopping and community activities
  • Enjoy bowling, lunch outings and social experiences
  • Maintain independence within the home
  • Complete agreed domestic duties
  • Build confidence and community connections
  • Maintain established routines
  • Be empowered to make choices about everyday activities
  • Participate in meaningful activities and experiences

You will work in the customer’s own home as well as the broader community. Respect for privacy, routines, preferences and personal space is essential.

 

We use a therapeutic, person-centred approach that focuses on strengths, capability building and helping people achieve their full potential.

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys social outings, bowling, shopping and helping people remain active within their community.


You'll Need

  • Previous experience providing disability or community-based support
  • Confidence providing support in a customer’s home
  • Willingness and ability to work safely in a home where a cat is present
  • Current Driver Licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English
