The Role You'll support a child to: • Participate in safe and enjoyable respite stays • Complete personal care routines with dignity and respect • Engage in meaningful in-home activities • Follow clear and consistent routines • Develop independence through appropriate support and encouragement • Receive medication support in line with training and support plans • Feel safe and supported during active overnight stays • Maintain choice, comfort and wellbeing You will also: • Follow a Behaviour Support Plan and approved strategies • Complete progress notes, incident reports and required documentation • Work collaboratively with family, allied health and support teams • Monitor and report changes in behaviour, health or wellbeing We're Looking For Someone Who Is ⭐ Patient, calm and supportive ⭐ Reliable, responsible and consistent ⭐ Comfortable following established routines ⭐ A clear and effective communicator ⭐ Observant and proactive ⭐ Respectful of individual preferences and boundaries ⭐ Comfortable supporting personal care and everyday activities ⭐ Available for weekend and overnight shifts ⭐ Focused on helping children feel safe, successful and supported Experience in respite, disability support, active overnight work, personal care, medication support or Behaviour Support Plans will be highly regarded.
