The Role
This role is about creating a consistent and reassuring environment while remaining flexible and responsive to changing support needs.

 

You’ll support a customer to:

  • Maintain established routines and independence
  • Participate in meaningful home and community activities
  • Receive appropriate health and wellbeing support
  • Maintain important family and community connections
  • Exercise choice, dignity and control
  • Feel safe and supported during periods of heightened need

You will also:

  • Follow the Behaviour Support Plan and approved regulated restrictive-practice procedures
  • Implement fluid-management strategies exactly as documented
  • Record all fluid intake accurately and consistently
  • Recognise and report changes in behaviour, sleep, health or wellbeing
  • Complete detailed progress notes, incident reports and required data
    Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Refer family concerns through the appropriate leadership channels
  • Respond safely to behaviours that may present a risk to the customer or workers

Previous complex disability support, Positive Behaviour Support, mental health or regulated restrictive-practice experience will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements
🔹 NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain
🔹 Current Driver Licence
🔹 First Aid & CPR, or willingness to obtain
🔹 Australian working rights
🔹 Availability across a 24/7 roster
🔹 Experience supporting complex or changing needs
🔹 Ability to follow detailed routines and support plans consistently
🔹 Strong observation, documentation and incident-reporting skills
🔹 Willingness to complete all customer-specific training
🔹 Commitment to privacy, dignity, professional boundaries and safe practice
