This role is about creating physical and emotional safety, building trust gradually and providing support without judgement or confrontation. You’ll support a customer to: - Maintain daily routines and wellbeing
- Participate in meaningful activities at home
- Build independence through patient, age-appropriate support
- Receive consistent and reassuring communication
- Exercise choice, dignity and control
- Engage with support at their own pace
You will also: - Follow Behaviour Support Plans, risk controls and agreed strategies
- Recognise triggers and early signs of distress
- Respond safely to verbal escalation, threats or behaviours that may present a physical risk
- Maintain appropriate observation and situational awareness
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident reports
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is
⭐ Experienced in complex mental health or intellectual disability support

📋 Accurate with documentation and incident reporting

🔹 Demonstrated experience in complex mental health or intellectual disability support
🔹 NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain
🔹 Current Driver Licence
🔹 Australian working rights

🔹 Ability to respond safely to verbal and physical escalation
🔹 Strong documentation and incident-reporting skills
🔹 Willingness to complete all customer-specific training and buddy shifts
