The Role This role is about creating physical and emotional safety, building trust gradually and providing support without judgement or confrontation. You’ll support a customer to: - Maintain daily routines and wellbeing
- Participate in meaningful activities at home
- Build independence through patient, age-appropriate support
- Receive consistent and reassuring communication
- Exercise choice, dignity and control
- Engage with support at their own pace
You will also: - Follow Behaviour Support Plans, risk controls and agreed strategies
- Recognise triggers and early signs of distress
- Respond safely to verbal escalation, threats or behaviours that may present a physical risk
- Maintain appropriate observation and situational awareness
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident reports
